3. History/Information The Marian Koshland Bioscience and Natural Resources Library resides in the Valley Life Sciences Building (VLSB). VLSB was one of four building projects taken to revive the biological sciences on the UC Berkeley campus. Originally constructed in 1930, it was the most purposeful. The library itself was named after Marian Koshland, a researcher at University of California, Berkeley. She studied molecular biology and died in Berkeley, California in October 28th, 1997 due to lung cancer. The library is mainly focused on science books. There is also a computing facility inside. 4.
