Information

Built in 1964 and renovated in 2000, Unit 3 is the second oldest dorm at UC Berkeley. It is only one block away from the south side of campus. There is a courtyard in the middle of Unit 3 that has the well-known Bear Market and the Café 3 Dining Hall. There are five high-rise buildings that compose Unit 3 with approximately 230 students in each building. These buildings include Priestley, Spens-Black, Ida Sproul, and Norton Halls. The Beverly Cleary Hall, which is also part of Unit 3, is a mid rise building located on Channing Way. The Unity House theme program is also located in Unit 3. The buildings are consisted of single, double, and triple rooms.
